Reasonably spacious unit with a view. Marvellous and brilliant location to Mao'er Hutong.

The place was clean and staff was nice and very kind. The staff provided incredible service and helped with taxi. The breakfast was perfect and good, had a great selection of options. Brilliant location to the nearbike park, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Had tea and goodies at Cafe Sambal, nestled 1 km of the hotel.

Perfect and tasty breakfast for the start of the day with bacon, Chinese buns, white toast. Very residential area, central location just next door to the parks and lakes around the area, and Beijing by subway.

The hotel was an incredible base for enjoying a very local area, right by the metro station and the area around the lakes, the subway and bus stops, and the center of Beijing, close to the lake. Marvellous and stunning location - walking distance to everywhere we needed. There's nothing to complain about, had a such wonderful stay for 3 nights.

Appealing and big size hotel. Supper friendly and consistently courteous staff with good manners. Very local area, great location, close to good bars and restaurants. Again, walking distance to Gong Wang Fu.

The setting is stunning, it's so close to the main attractions, the bus stops, and 3 subway stations.

Amazing service, good breakfast with toast, cereal and bacon. Great and brilliant location in Xicheng district so close to Qianhai lakes, Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City and the taxi🙂

It was a delightful hotel with understanding staff. The location was stunning and wonderful, close to a tube station. There were convenience stores and a grocery shop around the venue. All the services were amazing. The stay was really great, can recommend.

We truly enjoyed this delightful and absolutely brilliant hotel and stayed here for 7 nights. The breakfast had lots of brilliant options, and was perfect and great! Our standard double room with an electric kettle, air conditioning, and a personal safe was huge. Our location was brilliant and stunning, close to a subway station.

The staff team was pleasant, the rooms were new-fashioned and equipped with slippers, an iron which was very helpful, an internally facing window. The location was central, close enough to the subway and Houhai and Qianhai lakes and Beihai park as well as back lakes. Dined at Heshunfu Restaurant, it was not too far from the venue.

I had a great stay at this hotel in the Hutong district. The location was perfect, within walking distance of public transport and close to many places of interest. The hotel itself had a cozy and pleasant atmosphere, with rooms that were well-equipped and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the included breakfast, which was delicious and a great way to start the day.

Nice stay, as always. Gorgeous place with incredibly NICE staff and outstanding food. A lot of products for a perfect and absolutely fantastic breakfast. Reasonably large room with extremely comfy bed and a minibar, central heating, and an iron. Wonderful location in Xicheng district so close to the theatre, good areas and the metro station and the Houhai Lakes which come alive in the evenings. Also, in a unique neighborhood. Outstanding service and reasonable value. Not to mention good wifi!

I recently stayed at the Shichahai Shadow Arts Hotel in Beijing for 5 nights and it was an excellent decision. The hotel offers a complete and delicious breakfast every morning, with a variety of options including bacon, fried eggs, sausages, milk, orange juice. The cleanliness of the rooms was impressive, with daily towel changes and a well-functioning shower. The highlight of my stay was the incredible shadow performance show, a traditional art form that was both entertaining and educational. I even had the opportunity to participate in a painting class to create my own dragon puppet. The hotel's beautiful design, especially the common areas, added to the overall pleasant experience. The location near the Houhai Lakes was also a major plus, with its vibrant atmosphere and abundance of restaurants, bars, and shops. In the evenings, I enjoyed sitting in the lobby, sipping a glass of wine, and unwinding after a busy day. The friendly and helpful staff made my stay even more enjoyable, offering advice on places to visit and organizing tours, including a fantastic trip to the Great Wall. I highly recommend the Shichahai Shadow Arts Hotel for anyone looking to experience the authentic charm of Beijing in a comfortable and convenient setting.
